ABOUT
Soupy LaRue used to sing with an old-timey group called the Martyr Family Singers, whose first big hit was about some sexy broccoli ladies who have a good time being iron rich.
It was called Happy Woman Greens, and topped the charts twenty-two years before the charts were invented. Soupy stole most of the elements from that song, but changed it just enough to not rouse suspicion.
Happy Woman Greens is about slinky veggies and their wiley on-goings, and is in a major key. Worried Man Blues is about loss and suicide and depression, and is in a minor key. That kinda makes it original, right?

LYRICS
My girl, she left a year ago today
She winced 'Goodbye' through tears, and she was on her way
Help me, Jesus, help me
Turn another page
I fear I'll always stay
The same young age
The train flew by, it's sixteen coaches long.
The girl I love is on that train and gone.
Help me, Jesus, help me
Turn another page
I fear I'll always stay
The same young age
It takes a worried man to sing a worried song
It takes a worried man to sing a worried song
It takes a worried man to sing a worried song
I'm worried now, but I won't be worried long
My only friend, he had so much to learn
Proven in death, all pleasure given to the worm
Help me, Jesus, help me
Turn another page
I fear I'll always stay
The same young age
It takes a worried man to sing a worried song
It takes a worried man to sing a worried song
It takes a worried man to sing a worried song
I'm worried now, but I won't be worried long
So I cursed the shoes in which I stood,
The train platform, the land, the trees, the wood.
Help me, Jesus, help me
Send me down a sign
I feel I'm growing old before my time.
It takes a worried man to sing a worried song
It takes a worried man to sing a worried song
It takes a worried man to sing a worried song
I'm worried now, but I won't be worried long
It takes a worried man to sing a worried song
It takes a worried man to sing a worried song
It takes a worried man to sing a worried song
I'm worried now, but I won't be worried long
